PEFC is an umbrella organization that recognizes national and regional forest certification schemes that meet internationally recognized standards for sustainable forest management. UPM meets PEFC's certification requirements for both recovered fiber use and wood raw material.
EU timber regulation
UPM has taken extensive measures to ensure that the raw wood material and pulp used in its products are obtained from legal and sustainable sources.
