Check with the paint supplier for a given paint or varnish’s suitability for plywood. Test the paint or varnish on a small area before painting large areas.
Permanent construction which requires the versatile strength of plywood.
There are no specific end-use recommendations. It can be used in the same way as other WISA-Spruce products.
WISA®-SpruceWR can be disposed of in the same way as untreated plywood panels. Always consider reuse before disposal. If reuse is not possible, you can use it in energy generation.
The CE marking includes the product name ‘WISA-SpruceWR’. There is a ‘Water Repellent’ logo on the product package.
Since plywood is not classified as a chemical, we are not obliged to create a Material Safety Data Sheet for it. Instead, we have created Plywood Safety Profiles for all product groups, which are available here.
UPM Plywood acts as a trader for EU member states according to EUTR.

EPDs are environmental product declarations based on Lifecycle Assessments. EPDs are verified by a third party, and they have been created according to EN standards. An Environmental Product Declaration is a voluntary and reliable way to present a product’s environmental impact throughout its whole lifecycle, from raw material sourcing to disposal.
The Plywood Safety Profiles apply to all plywood products. There are separate profiles for birch and spruce, coated and uncoated products. Plywood Safety Profiles include information on safe handling of plywood and the UPM Restricted Substance List.

UPM Plywood has certified FSC and PEFC CoC. The certificates can be found on the certificates page.
Yes, it does. All UPM plywood mills have an ISO 14001-certified Environmental Management System.
UPM has a Code of Conduct that defines the general responsible business principles that all UPM personnel should follow. In addition, UPM Plywood has its own responsibility rules.
